Winery review: "It's hard to keep your pinky up when you're drinking wine from a 375 mL can. These are the most approachable and ready-to-travel anywhere wines we produce. Whether you're sitting in a hot tube after a good day of riding or heading where other wines dare not travel, we have you covered without sacrificing the craft taste Union is known for." - unionwinecompany.com
My review: I was really disappointed with this canned wine. I only drank it to get a taste of the wine so I could blog about it, but did not even finish the can. The back of the can said the Pinot Gris had tastes of peach, grapefruit, and pear, so I was expecting a nice fruity flavor. What I got was a flat acidic liquid. It was medium to heavy in body, and lacked the sweet/fruity flavors I enjoy. It was almost syrupy, but without the sweetness that normally accompanies that kind of texture. I would not recommend this wine to others, I drank this after eating a bowl of chili so maybe that had something to do with the adverse reaction to my poor taste buds. Overall the visual appeal of the can and the logo far outweigh the sensory experience of actually drinking the contents.
