Tasting - Tangent Sauvignon Blanc
Name: Tangent Sauvignon Blanc
Variety: 100% Sauvignon Blanc
Region: Paragon, CA
Country: US
Year: 2016
Price: $7.00
Winery review: "Another bright and racy vintage, with flavors of green apple, lime, grapefruit, lemon zest, notes of mineralogy and citrus aromatics. Silky and light, balanced with nice crisp acidity. Out winemaker's favorite wine with oysters, it pairs well with most any seafood." - Niven Family Wine Estates
My review: I enjoyed this wine! It was my first canned wine, and I couldn't tell a difference! It had medium body, and a kick to it! I enjoyed the fruitiness of it as well as the lingering tickling feeling it left in the mouth and throat. I had my parents try it, they were pretty skeptical, and they didn't think it was too bad. Although my Mom said she preferred her bottled Pouilly Fume :). I drank this alongside a bowl of chili and rice, so not seafood as the winery suggested, but I thought the acidity of the wine went well with the spices of the chili. I would recommend this canned wine, and do see myself buying it again in the future.
