Tasting- Primo Amore Moscato
Name: Moscato Veneto Indicazione Geografica Tipica Primo Amore
Variety: 100% Moscato
Region: Veneto
Country: Italy
Year: 2016
Price: $11.00
Winery review:"The Primo Amore Moscato appears straw-yellow with golden reflections in the glass. The nose is fruity and very inviting, with intense scents of peaches and exotic fruit. On the palate the wine is refreshing and delicately sweet with hints of stone fruit on the finish." - Mister Wright Fine Wines & Spirits
My review:
For me this Moscato had a medium body with a little bubble to it. It was a little too syrupy and sweet for my liking (oh my gosh my taste buds are finally maturing!!!), but it paired well with dessert (cup cakes for my friends 22nd birthday). It was fruity, with a strong kick of peaches, like the winery review said. There was not a whole lot of acidity or tannins to it, which I think made it lack in overall palate effect. I would drink this again, but it is not at the top of my list of favorite Moscatos! This is defiantly a sweet celebratory wine to pair with dessert or something spicy!
