Tasting- Chateau Ste Michelle Sweet Riesling
Name: Chateau Ste Michelle Harvest Select Sweet Riesling
Variety: 100% Vinifera Rootstock
Region: Columbia Valley
Country: United States
Year: 2015
Price: $10.00
Winery review: "Silky and succulent, offering orange blossom and petrol aromas and slightly sweet nectarine and grapefruit flavors that finish on the dry side. Drink now."- Wine Spectator.
My review: I was a little disappointed with this bottle. I know the bottle says sweet riesling, but I was not expecting it to be as sweet as it was. It was almost like a super sweet moscato. I also don't think the balance was right between sweetness and acidity. It just felt like something was off. It had a medium body with a floral almost grassy aroma. I did not eat food whilst drinking this, and I do not see myself purchasing this bottle in the future. The only positive is that it looked really pretty in the glass, it was clear with just a hint of gold.
