Tasting- Prophecy Sauvignon Blanc
Name: Prophecy. Sauvignon Blanc
Variety: 100% Sauvignon Blanc
Region: Marlborough
Country: New Zealand
Year: 2016
Price: $12
Winery review: Prophecy Sauvignon Blanc showcases the best of New Zealand's renowned Marlborough region. Aromas of grapefruit, lychee and lime zest lead to flavors of mandarin orange and green apple, followed by delicate notes of mineral and white tea. - Winemaker Notes
My review: This bottle was seriously so disappointing! It might just be me and my naive palate, but I did not get any lime zest and nothing was delicate about the mineral and white tea taste. It was acidic, dry, watery, and above all else extremely floral. It was like I was drinking my Grandma's perfume. I would not recommend this to those who have the same taste buds as me, but possibly for those who like their wine dry and acidic to the point your eyes water. I did eat this along side some sweet and salty kettle corn, which saved my poor taste buds after drinking this unsatisfying almost colorless liquid.
